I walk by this sign almost every day and it strikes me as odd. The hotel the sign is on isn’t even a French hotel, is it?

Actually, this sign is from the days of a previous restaurant incarnation called “City of Paris”. Don’t remember the exact dates, but it was only around for a few years… I do recall having a birthday dinner for my mom there in Dec ’92… The food was very good when the place started – the maitre d’/owner and some of the staff came from the Balboa Cafe. They had good steaks, burgers, raw bar… But some changes were made and it was all down hill after that… And the hotel at that time was called the Shannon Court.
